To express appreciation for the volunteers’ long-standing dedication and enthusiastic support for the school, and to enhance their professional knowledge and skills in traffic safety and student crossing assistance, Donghai Elementary School held its Volunteer Kickoff Meeting on October 17 in the school conference room. The event was jointly organized by the volunteer team leader and the Director of Student Affairs, bringing together volunteers from across the school community. Through traffic safety training and a warm, friendly luncheon, the event provided an opportunity for volunteers to connect, exchange experiences, and strengthen team spirit.

The event began with a training session on traffic safety and crossing guard duties. The session covered important considerations for volunteers carrying out traffic control duties during student arrival and dismissal times. Key topics included the basic principles of traffic direction, personal safety while on duty, and ensuring students’ safety when crossing roads. Through training and experience sharing, the school hoped to strengthen volunteers’ traffic safety knowledge and ability to respond to unexpected situations. These efforts will help volunteers perform their duties with greater confidence and familiarity, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students traveling to and from school.

Following the training session, a volunteer luncheon was held, giving volunteers who are usually busy serving the school a chance to take a break, enjoy delicious food, share stories from their daily lives, and exchange insights and experiences from their volunteer work. This relaxed and enjoyable gathering not only brought the volunteers closer together but also helped build stronger friendships and a deeper sense of connection within the team.

Donghai Elementary School stated that volunteers are an essential source of support for the school’s student safety initiatives and educational activities. Whether assisting with traffic control during student arrival and dismissal times or supporting various school events, volunteers consistently demonstrate their generosity, dedication, and willingness to serve. Looking ahead, the school will continue to work closely with the volunteer team through regular training sessions, experience sharing, and team-building activities to improve service quality. The school hopes that every act of kindness and every contribution will continue to play an important role in protecting and supporting children as they grow, while working together to create a safe, warm, and caring school environment.

為感謝志工夥伴長期以來對學校的熱心付出，並提升志工交通導護的專業知能，東海國小於10月17日在學校會議室舉辦志工期初聯合大會。本次活動由志工隊隊長與學務主任共同籌辦，邀請東海國小志工夥伴齊聚一堂，透過交通安全研習與溫馨餐敘，增進彼此交流，凝聚團隊向心力。

活動首先安排交通導護相關研習，針對志工日常執行上、放學交通導護勤務時應注意的事項進行說明，協助志工夥伴了解交通指揮的基本原則、執勤安全及學生通行安全等重要觀念。透過研習與經驗交流，期望提升志工夥伴的交通安全知能與應變能力，讓大家在協助維護校園周邊交通秩序時，能更加熟悉勤務內容，共同為學生打造安全、友善的上學與放學環境。

研習活動結束後，接續舉辦志工餐敘，讓平時忙於服務的志工夥伴們能暫時放下手邊工作，輕鬆享用美食、分享生活點滴，並交流服務過程中的心得與經驗。透過輕鬆愉快的聚會，不僅拉近彼此距離，也讓志工團隊在歡樂的氣氛中建立更深厚的情誼。

東海國小表示，志工是學校推動學生安全與各項教育工作的堅實後盾，無論是上、放學時段的交通導護，或是校園各項活動的協助，都能看見志工夥伴無私奉獻的身影。未來學校將持續與志工團隊攜手合作，透過定期研習、經驗分享及團隊交流，提升服務品質，讓每一份熱心與付出都成為守護孩子成長的重要力量，共同營造安全、溫暖且充滿關懷的校園環境。
